On Department
Department of Marine Biotechnology with collaboration with NFMC has introduced a 2 year M.Sc. Marine Biotechnology Programme and M.Phil Microbial Biotechnology Programmme. Doctoral degree is offered in Microbial Biotechnology which caters to Microbiology and Biotechnology Disciplines. Department weekly conducts "Munner Meet" Science club which is a forum for students and scholars to develop communication, management and organization skills, which is also necessary for scientists.
M.Sc and M.Phil curriculum is prepared to prepare students for UGC, CSIR, NET and competitive exams and Choice Based Credit System is followed.
Our search programs are supported by DBT, DST, UGC, DST, DAE, DoEF, DRDO, ICAR GOI, agencies. With the research grant support we have publications in peer reviewed journals with impact factory. Modern equipment and teaching laborataries are available. The Departments faculty members teach and perform in the areas of Marine Biotechnology, bioactive molecular, bioremediation, Gene sequencing, Bioinformatics.

 M.Sc - Marine Biotechnology (2 Years)
Eligibility: B.Sc with one or more branches of Biology (Allied/ Subsidiary at the Major or Ancillary levels) |
M.Phil - Microbial Biotechnology (1 Year)
Eligibility: P.G. Degree in any branches of Biological Sciences |
Certificate Course - Techniques on Organic Farming (3 Months)
Eligibility: Pass in 8th Standard and above |
Doctoral programme - Ph.D
Eligibility: P.G. Degree in any branches of Biological Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks. (for SC/ST: 50% marks)
Duration:
Full Time: (With M.Phil.): Minimum period 2 years, (Without M.Phil.): Minimum period 3 years.
Part Time: (With M.Phil.): Minimum period 3 years, (Without M.Phil.): Minimum period 4 years.
